In Texas, a 45-year-old Beaumont man died after an argument with his brother escalated to a fight about what television show to watch on an early Sunday morning. Lynell Whittington allegedly attacked and stabbed his 35-year-old brother with a "sharp object" after the brother attempted to change the channel. According to police officials, the brothers' elderly father called 911 to report the fight. The brothers were taken by ambulance to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital where Whittington was pronounced dead by ER physicians. His brother was stitched-up for a laceration to his buttocks.
