Merriam-Webster just added "Sheeple" (a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people") to their dictionary and used Apple consumers as an example. The definition reads: "people who are docile, compliant, or easily influenced" and explains that it is a "derogatory term that highlights the passive herd behaviour of people easily controlled by a governing power which likens them to sheep, a herd animal that is easily led about" or those who "voluntarily acquiesce to a suggestion without critical analysis or research in large part because the majority of others possess a similar mindset".

portmanteau/mot-valise (composé de…) – compliant/accommodant, complaisant – derogatory/péjoratif - herd behaviour/comportement grégaire (herd/troupeau) - to liken/apparenter, assimiler - to be led about/se laisser mener – mindset/mode de pensée, manière de voir
